THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN US

Terms of
Service.

Draft effective date: August 25, 2026Last updated August 25, 2026
The short version

Your stories remain yours. Draftlore needs limited permission to store and process them only to provide the service. AI features are optional and may send selected project context to the provider you connect. Paid plans renew until canceled. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy should be read together.

01

Who we are and agreement

These Terms govern your access to Draftlore’s website, writing application, subscriptions, exports, sharing tools, and related services (the “Service”). “Draftlore,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service, Rob Moretti.

Production review item: insert the operator’s business address and jurisdiction before launch. Questions may be sent to Rob Moretti at contact@draftlore.ai.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

02

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and legally able to enter this agreement. Draftlore is not directed to children. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

Provide accurate information, protect your password, authenticator codes, recovery codes, and connected API credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account except to the extent caused by Draftlore’s breach of its obligations.

03

Your writing remains yours

You retain ownership of manuscripts, screenplays, notes, research, project memory, instructions, uploaded files, and other content you create or provide (“Your Content”). These Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to Draftlore.

You grant Draftlore a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, process, display, back up, transmit, and export Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service at your direction. This permission ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backup retention and legal obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights needed to use Your Content and that it does not unlawfully infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.

04

AI features and third-party providers

AI features are optional. When you request an AI action, Draftlore may send your prompt and relevant project context to the provider and model you select. Draftlore does not use Your Content to train a Draftlore model. A provider’s processing is also governed by its own API terms and privacy commitments.

You may connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic developer API credential. ChatGPT, Claude, and similar consumer subscriptions do not include developer API usage. The provider bills your API account separately, and Draftlore does not mark up that usage.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, similar to other material, or unsuitable for your purpose. Review output before relying on, submitting, or publishing it. Draftlore does not guarantee model availability, output, or provider pricing.

05

Connected services

The Service may connect to Stripe, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Resend, Render, and other providers. Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms. Draftlore is not responsible for third-party outages, account restrictions, pricing changes, or independent data practices, but we remain responsible for selecting and configuring our service providers with reasonable care.

Google sign-in grants basic identity access. Private Google Docs require a separate read-only authorization. You control whether to connect or disconnect supported third-party accounts.

06

Trial, subscriptions, and renewal

Eligible new customers receive a 14-day trial without providing payment information. The trial begins when the account is created. After the trial, an active subscription is required for editing and paid features; projects remain available to read and export as described in the Service.

The monthly plan is $12.99 per month and the standard annual plan is $119 per year, plus applicable taxes. An eligible founding offer may charge $89 for the first year and renew at the then-current standard annual price, currently $119, unless canceled before renewal. The checkout screen controls if it clearly states different current pricing before purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Before payment, Stripe Checkout will display the plan, amount, billing interval, and applicable taxes. You authorize Stripe to charge the payment method associated with your subscription.

07

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel through Draftlore’s Manage billing link and Stripe-hosted customer portal. Unless checkout or the portal expressly states otherwise, cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues through the current paid period.

Refund eligibility, exceptions, request instructions, and treatment of duplicate or accidental charges are explained in the separate Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable cancellation, refund, or cooling-off rights.

08

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to violate law or another person’s rights; distribute malware; harass or exploit people; impersonate others; interfere with the Service; bypass authentication, subscription limits, or safety controls; scrape private data; probe systems without written permission; or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, manuscripts, credentials, or infrastructure.

We may investigate suspected misuse and limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, the Service, payment systems, or third parties.

09

Draftlore intellectual property

Draftlore and its software, interface, branding, documentation, and original service content are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the rights needed to use the Service, no rights are granted to Draftlore’s software or branding. Feedback may be used to improve the Service without obligation, but does not grant us ownership of Your Content.

10

Availability, backups, and changes

We work to keep the Service available and protect customer work, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted operation or prevention of every loss. Maintain exports or emergency backups of important work. Offline changes may remain on a device until connectivity returns.

We may improve, replace, limit, or discontinue features. We will provide notice of material changes when reasonably possible or legally required. Security, maintenance, legal, or provider issues may require immediate action.

11

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Draftlore at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, unlawful conduct, threats to the Service, nonpayment, or when required by law. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to export Your Content. Rights and obligations that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. Draftlore is a creative tool, not legal, financial, medical, publishing, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for editorial decisions, submissions, publication, contracts, and use of AI output.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Draftlore will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Any monetary cap, exclusions, dispute procedure, governing law, and venue must be finalized with counsel before production. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms to reflect product, business, or legal changes. The updated date will appear above. We will provide notice and request renewed agreement when a change materially affects existing rights and applicable law requires it.

Contact Rob Moretti at contact@draftlore.ai. Never email a password, API key, authenticator code, recovery code, full payment-card number, or private manuscript text.
